"Stairs" (artifacts) in the Picture at high contrasts, which can be
Frage von Anne Katrin: März 2008
Hello, I have with the Panasonic DVX 100 in 25p mode recordings, now my problem is that at high contrasts (eg, black against white) contours on the television are frayed (like small steps), and when I look at the material as to Quicktime Look at the calculator, it looks much better. These are certainly with the 25p mode to do? What can I do? Would be very grateful for a tip! Gruss, Anne Katrin

What kind was because of the Television? Tube or flat panel (LCD / TFT, Plasma)? And how were the images sent to the television?
Antwort von Anne Katrin:
Hi Markus, I have the material to mini-DV and then played on the camera to the television (tube) viewed. On my computer monitor (flat screen), but the stairs are synonymous because when I play video in the Avid. Only if I have the whole thing as a Quicktime Reference movie export and play on the computer, it looks onaus. What do you mean?
Antwort von Markus:
When playing in the Avid is running the video but somehow scaled in a preview window, right? There are stairs s.diagonalen edge structures are not unusual.
If you exportierst, however, give you the video probably with a player, right? They are optimized to display quality and either show them the video in 100% (original) Image size (pixel by pixel ") or they are full scale.
With regard to the representation s.Röhrenfernseher, it is this way is not optimal. As a principle, are progressive video output devices s.Interlace not good to look. Would you possibly synonymous a flat-screen television available? And your camcorder has a component connection to the photos as synonymous Vollbild follow others?
Antwort von HeikoS:
Huch? That you need me to explain. Intelace source s.Progressivmonitor yes, but the other way? Why should there be a visual problem with this type?

Hi Mark, thanks for the tips! I play the video in the computer actually with the Quicktime player s.and because it looks good. My problem is mainly that of the film, I just cut afterwards as synonymous DVD is viewed on TV and I wonder how I as the picture noise wegbekomme. Or would I just not in fullscreen mode allowed? So do you think that the picture when the film (on DVD) later on a flat screen TV screen sizes, completely onist? And there is a trick how to use the Picture during compression of the video for the DVD is synonymous for tube TVs can be optimized? And if the video with a beamer projected, would strip away only when I turn the projector s.den laptop and connect to the movie as a Quicktime play? Many questions! Thank you in advance! Anne Katrin

Hello Again,
have just read your questions again. Look at whether your projector is a progressive display are functional. I have something of my camera directly via a projector and played there was representation error, they were resolved when I stopped the Progressive function.
Do you as a Quicktime movie? As far as I know is in the compression to Quicktime Movie quality is already lost, which would not be so good.
