Hello, I've recently a strange problem. I wanted to be as usual the finished video as DV-AVI off. For some reason, however, created no VDL 16:9 video, but a 14:9 video. The camcorder seems to be not quite bets to what format it is and therefore jumps between 4:3 and 16:9 and her out. I did it with two different camcorders tested, both to the same problem. Even if I get the AVI file directly into Windows anschauen, some programs have a problem.
How can I get that video back to 16:9 Camera to play? Is there perhaps some other programs (freeware / shareware) can do exactly, so a video on the camcorder to play? Previously, there were never problems, I do not know why now suddenly no longer works.

I think it would be if you enfacher the mistake in your editing program looking for, instead of a software for dubbing. Do you have after the restore (of Camera to PC) something s.der resolution as amended, or is the resolution After exporting nor is equal to or they are synonymous has changed? Are you ever gone through the export settings, or even have a different export option tries?
Questions about questions ... ;)

Hello, I would have the same able to mention, right ;-)
So: The Resolutionist always in PAL DV (16:9) remained the standard of import to export. I have to export as DV-AVI, and AVI with different codecs and settings sampled. The problem is 1) the "normal" AVI export the aspect ratio is sometimes synonymous not true and 2) VDL not "normal" AVI's do not use the DV codec is not on the camera off wants. The strange thing is that I've never had problems with it. I have to test it even with my old camcorder tried, since I for one month a new owner. The program s.sich was not synonymous with updated patches, if I remember correctly.

That would be my guess, but it must gemeinerweise not even just an update of this program have been. Even (automatic) operating system updates, drivers, codecs, ... all that can s.anderer body to malfunction.
I make several backups a week with Acronis True Image. Unfortunately, I had long ceased to more video off because I had nothing to cut, so to me the error is not noticed. A special Windows Update would not come to me now (the last was for all other areas as a patch) and the codecs I have for months no longer updated, they are still almost exactly 100% as in the purchase of the notebook: D

Okay, then let's of times throughout the beginning. Have you ever considered whether the error is only when this one breaks out or new recordings, but in all recordings (a camcorder)? If you have the workflow with a new project through, is it the same?
The question must halt, if a solution to a general problem must be her, or whether it just this one project, for which is equally an intricate (!) Workaround in the purchase could take.

Since I am completely new (new gerender each frame, not a Smart Copy, etc.) DV-AVI file yes to a new project and added that there had the same problems and when off to the old and new camcorder, I now once indicates that the problems in all projects. But I will once again complete a quick project with my old camcorder and record cut to really be sure.
What assumptions did you save s.was it is? Or. how to fix these problems?
UPDATE: Funny, when I look at the "wrong from specific" Recording of DV-tape look, the picture just jumps at Digital connected devices around (Firewire, HDMI, Component), the normal AV RCA connector, but nothing jumps around, the picture is but recognized as 16:9. Somehow, I will not be very smart: (
I am now over the weekend with new projects and more detailed images for free, before it has probably no more accurate sense to look for errors.

The difference a DV-AVI file in 4:3 and 16:9 is just an indication s.der PAR (PAR = Pixel Aspect Ratio). If in between a scene with the wrong value is stored, then the picture changes, synonymous if it was not the intention. Eighth look to whether the picture or just shortly after a change of scene. That would be a reference to this cause.
Remedy a patching of the AVI file creation, if there is a tool. Basically just have anywhere to ensure that the PAR value for 16:9 is registered.
With a video editing program can be achieved by the relevant scene in a DV 16:9-Project is imported and then when you export everything to 16:9 necessarily rendered. However, it should ensure that the internal software is not smart rendering does, if it considers that there has been no substantive changes.

Fact, usually before or after a scene change or effect the picture is not true.

Just as I have tried all options enabled, so really everything is rendered has lasted a small eternity to re-render everything, and still the same problem.
I have at the moment, unfortunately, synonymous no other available Vidoschnittprogramm with whom I could debug the. And the AVI synonymous structure is determined not so simple that even I could write a tool that it is corrected. Let's see, I am fighting back through! Thanks again for the information :-) Markus
UPDATE: I will send the video times through the converter program "Super", perhaps it brings something. An old version of Adobe Premiere Standard / Elements synonymous, I have just found. Let's see if it works ...

With Premiere 6.5 there should be no problems. What is happening in the local settings follows is, I had times described here:
The support of Magix synonymous, this problem can not understand, no preference what tests they do. I will therefore once the test project with this problem on a DVD by mail. Let's see what it is for developers to register for updates when I'm back ;-)

Only the topic up to date: After a few months once I got a reply that another colleague, my DVD on his desk had found, because the really competent colleague has already worked for some time no longer with Magix. After another few months and demands, however, I got no answer. Seems as if the "old" versions Magix no longer interested in: (
