16:9 squashed

Frage von Glottis:
April 2007

Hi,
I am trying to do some time on my vacation videos and intersect with music / effects to be inferior. Did the videos with a HDD camcorder Sonyaufgenommen of and are in mpeg2 format.

So my first Prblem is the import into Premiere 1.5, the files can be imported while but will always be stretched laterally. I filmed in 16:9 format (720 x 576) widescreen but when I RESTRICT Picture is still not squashed and the working field.

How can I change the video aspect ratio with natural importing?

Antwort von Hollgo:

You can download the files times with the MPEG-Inspector (MI) or a similar tool to check whether the header is synonymous to 16:9, as in your case it should be.

If not, you can do this with the program "DVD Patcher" quick and easy fix.
But always take the "entire patch file", otherwise it could be the next GOP s.der back problems.
