Hi,
I am working with Premiere and 2 monitors. Now I would like to use as a control monitor or a TV. I remember that it worked without problems a year ago s.der University.

Do I need special hardware? Synonymous, or creates a normal (brand new) graphics card? What do I need to know ...

How do you do it because all that?

that goes well!

hang s.besten your camcorder via firewire s.de pc and then you connect the camcorder via analog cable with the tv! then only choose the correct channel and turn on the camera and away you go!
I do it in each case as synonymous.

I have to end once bought a few years ago as a converter of Canopus called AVC100 or so, has cost about 300 euros.
Now I have bought myself but recently a new graphics card of Matrox Parhelia called APVe which was cheaper than the converter and still much, much better. The shows in virtually every program with the video image on a television in addition to 2 monitors connected via DVI - and that without appearing in some misalignment of the image editing programs on the firewire output.
So when it comes to getting the video image displayed on a TV, I would prefer in any case, this graphics card a converter or an old D8 Camera!

Your comments have confirmed my suspicions and Udos. If you adjust the color and display the video image s.den PC monitor, then you can not you just rely on the Picture s.TV monitor. I must contradict you or you. If we were talking of one calibrated studio monitor-- okay, then I would understand this. I think this must be seen as relative. Compared to an analog video output GraKa Firewire is much better and more reliable. In addition, here is cut and DV controlled so that the output via firewire in this case can easily be considered as a reference.

I have now opted for a combination solution. (These but so far only partially implemented). Those who are interested:

First of all, I bought an additional PCI graphics card. With this, a second computer monitor (for the bins) is operated. At the first GraKa the computer monitor for the timeline and a video monitor for real-time overlay depends preview. Herewith I have the advantage of zero latency to have a full screen preview.
