| 450D Time Lapse
Question of DeejayMD: April 2011
Hello from Hamburg.
Since cavort on this page many people with specialized knowledge, I wanted to show my first attempt of time lapse recordings, to solicit the opinions and suggestions.

"Shot" with a "Canon 450D" was, and in most cases with the kit lens (18-55mm f3.5). Only towards the end of the video I could test my new Tokina 11-16mm.

Except for Magic Arm, LCW Fader ND, and the Tokina Intervalometer on I borrowed from relatives and friends along. I will set me probably a 60D, the 450D if I must return.

Thank you for the quick reply! Lucas
I do not much ;-).
The Tokina is s.Aperture 8 simply phenomenal. Crack sniper in all corners. And wide! At full aperture it is blurred s.den border areas, but I think that is the normal case and in others worse. If I make time lapse recordings, then always with open aperture to avoid flicker. Since there can be problems. See my video, Hamburg by night. In the border areas, it is quite blurred. Could have been synonymous, of course, operator error, I have to test it. This blurring is normal images can not be identified, but if one, a test chart (that is so?) Is photographed, it is visible.
I had until 4 months ago never had a DSLR in hand, can say but, I believe you with the Tokina doing nothing wrong.
PS: Also, does the "Infinity" - state the objective. In the kit-lens that was not the case, and I could only take the stars from the balcony because I always had to run the calculator to check the sharpness.

It looks really great, like it a lot.
Reply Erik01:
I would be interested, as you have the pictures in varying light made accurate (sunset)? Looks great and from the exposure is very clean with.
Thank you ever again and really cool video!
Reply DeejayMD:
Normally "shoot" I always in "full manual mode. In light changes I need to trust the camera and put it on "AV". Thus, the exposure time of the environment is adapted. The result is of course synonymous again the flicker, which I could eliminate but with the plugin "GBDeflicker" as far as possible.
Another very useful program is "LRTimelapse" of Gunther Wegner. With this you have the opportunity to provide first Lightroom preset values for exposure, white balance, etc with smooth transitions.

Michel was clear? The cry because it's normally around Still Image and Film Equipment
Reply DeejayMD:
Really? We were waved through quasi-even though I had all this (camera track that did not play, tripods, etc).

Krass times since I've seen a sign at some point.
Do you go regularly shoot in HH going?
Reply DeejayMD:
Lately, I have the camera actually constantly. If it then allow time and weather, I go off. Hamburg has a few corners that are worth shooting (DOM, miniature wonder world), but I will soon be time to the sea, or in the mountains.
