Question of blip: März 2006
As there are certain questions in our forum again and again, we've compiled five of these views and formulate some general answers to Beginners in the field of DV editing quickly find some help. Further, fast help you find the Suchfunktion 3-part Introduction to slashCAM: Part 1: Equipment and Recording Part 2: Digital DV editing Part 3: Finishing / Export
The questions: -------------------------------------------------- --------- Which camera should I buy? What kind of computer do I need for DV editing? As the video comes into the computer? How and what do I cut s.Computer videos? How do I get my final video from computer to DVD, the Internet, etc.? -------------------------------------------------- ---------
Which camera should I buy? A perfect camera to have extra options. Instead, there are many models that resemble more or less, but still have different strengths and of course, usually synonymous weaknesses. Since the camcorder manufacturers each year to bring many new, slightly modified models to the market, a specific recommendation have only limited shelf life. We therefore formulate the question somewhat in order to:
What to look when choosing a camcorder? Some decision criteria:
# Price - off you go at about 250 euros (Top Deals), the top open ..
# Size - the smaller the camera, the easier and easier to have them always with you (about Hochkant-/Keilform). The really good thing here, but not the optics, and often not very many manual controls are available. Most models are more "snapshot" cameras, which can naturally be synonymous ok. If you want to lead such a small web video diary documenting his children or the like.
# Hardware - there is a 1 - or 3-chip camcorder to be? -> The more chips the better so far (at least), but synonymous expensive. At the same time it is synonymous well if a CCD is as large as possible. Furthermore, of interest: the size of the optical zoom (the digital hardly counts, because the picture is enlarged digitally only and thereby considerably s.Qualität) loses, and the image stabilization (optical) is better than electronical.
# Format - true digital camera records the video on DV tapes? Or is recorded on DVD? - Means lower quality, since compressed MPEG-2 format is taken. What is new is the so-called HDV format which is better than DV, but still significantly more expensive, too "high quality" is the AVCHD format, which can be modified but not yet quite as easily as HDV. Who wants to spend some more money, should therefore consider carefully whether it still makes sense to put it into an expensive data-model. Another point: the camera controls real widescreen / 16:9? (which most do now ...)
# Handling / manual setting options - should be provided where possible, to have more control over the picture when recording to have. These include some manual exposure, focus, white balance. (Unless you know that you will travel only on automatic. But please do not complain afterwards ..) Not unimportant is synonymous how to set these things: For many small models running on the touch screen menu navigation, have s.Gehäuse while larger, semi-professional cameras, buttons, s.The faster you rankommt ...
For decision: First, you should consider how much the video camera may cost. This already sets out a framework views. Another way is to list what must the camera will definitely have / or be able to, u
