| AVC Subunit Drivers
Question of Al Capsized: August 2006
Hello everybody,
I realize that there have been hundreds of entries on this topic.
However, I urgently ask for your valued assistance.
I own a JVC camera and a 4 Pentium under WinXP.
My problem is that the calculator asks for a drivers, which is called AVC-Subunit.
Very well. Did we have already. But, first, when I get here, and secondly, the decision without this ..... Service Pack 2.
Please explain that one but again for the cheap seats.
That is something I'm desperate.
Thanks and greeting
Al

Hello,
WinXP/SP1 should auto detect your camcorder as a DV source, if this is connected via Firewire. The driver installation is required for it since it is already included in WinXP.
You write that there are countless posts already. I assume that you have read some of them, in order to isolate the problem. In order not to bore you with details that you know already, therefore, I ask about time: What have you already tried and what results did you get here? Say: As far as you can narrow the problem?

The Prob is, I've recently bought myself a new camera, which has progressive scan and HD on it.
The history of skin through Firewire synonymous. But only in DV - mode with the usual resolution. With this information, would be the beginning of everything was clear! ;-)

Finally ...
Because we are a chat just so beautiful:
I gather from your comments that you are already longer are preoccupied with DV editing. I've got a small question.
A brief explanation:
I've started with a Mini DV Cam and Pinnacle Studio 8 a few years ago. I've mostly family films made with the kids, etc. Later, I got myself on a real project and already dug for a friend and it's a complete tape music video rotated. Unfortunately, I am with my then quickly pushed s.Grenzen equipment, of which I had no idea until now.
Now I have my 2nd Short film started to turn, got me a camera dolly constructed) (I'm mechanical engineer, bought a top camera and I switched to Premiere Pro.
Unfortunately, in the meantime I am not so happy with it, because this software is unstable and insane einbremst me in my actions so that it is too disgusting.
Do you have a recommendation for me? What is with this Edius Pro, of which all the rave about? Oder gibts da was cheaper, the same has a lot on it? That's just Edius sauteuer ...
Eh realized that I could sift through forums. But to me it would hold dear, get a Tip of directly to a like-minded people.
If you take your time and respond to me, I'd be very grateful to you.
Beautiful Weekend
Lg Alex

A postscript:
The thing is.
As much as I script neglected in recent years about the primary things like shooting, Dramaturgy, Directing, Film Music, etc. have taken care of, so much so that I unfortunately have the necessary synonymous Sekundärgerätschaften as Calculator, program editing, authoring, and this gap has now Fill up again with difficulty ;-)
But Hey! At least I'm working on cutting even with 3 monitors 8-)

I stayed with the DV editing with Premiere 6.5, because the software for me is very stable and very fast running. I also have a video card, with the all that is coordinated. I did not want to jeopardize by an update.
A tip for a recent and still very fast and stable running video editing software I have unfortunately not.
Maybe someone else? * blick-in-the-round *
