After a few unpleasant things I've read here about Adobe's "Premiere" I do not know for what software should I choose.
"FinalCut is" while well regarded, but requires its own hardware. Someone here who has worked with both and would like to make a brief statement?

Okay, subjective:
I can not stand premiere. Many functions are missing and the surface is not my thing. Furthermore, Premiere can anything except DV and HDV. Final Cut tells me of the surface and the many features too much. + Many formats. I used to work forced s.Premiere. If I can choose is always final cut. Premiere highly I often cursed in front Calculator, crashes, etc. unintuitive handling Nervig. The advantage of Final Cut, however, lies not only in Final Cut Pro, but s.den synonymous s.Mac OS and Macs. Productivity, together with OS X, Motion, DVD Studio Pro, Soundtrack, etc. is pretty good.
If you are interested about the benefits, there are two nice items from the editors Walter Murch (Apocalypse Now, Cold Mountain, Jarhead, The English Patient, Oz, The Godfather, The Talented Mr. Ripley) as to why he was in Final Cut Pro Comparison to Avid and competing so well and is on the Posproduktionsablauf of Jarhead and Cold Mountain. http://www.apple.com/pro/film/murch/ http://www.apple.com/pro/film/murch2/ http://www.apple.com/de/finalcutstudio/soundtrackpro/customertestimonial.html

Thanks Patrick, But now I'm rummaging obviously synonymous in various Mac forums. So very easily and is probably not the BS some people are unnerved again back to Windows. Imprecise cursor control, hardly popular software (and if so, always expensive and usually only in English) and is now synonymous still compatibility problems between the PPC-based Macs, and the whole new generation of Mac with Intel chips are complaining because s.laufenden tape.
Good because I already want to set up a calculator just to cut interest me, except the mouse story, most things do not.
Let's see.

You are notified of the problems a mix of individual cases and prejudices;) And Genörgle.
People switch from Mac to Windows is available. Only one of which might make 100 or 1000 macuser.
Just go to your grave Laden (or Comspot) and take your Macs and Final Cut to present. If you want to tell you, I recommend the largest German-Macforum, macuser.de.

Be assured that it not only here in this forum are enough people who work with Adobe's Premiere WinXP on a calculator and have no problems. Sure, the Mac you need you (usually) worry about a thing, but a correctly configured with the hardware and can be tailored to remove absolutely professional work. I have to deal with both systems and believe me, the differences are long gone as big as maybe some still believe to convey. Several years ago, the Mac) was the measure of all things (100% agreement, but today is largely of taste (or prestige is) sache.

So while you will be able to help secure None, because the tastes simply different and the claims are quite different.
I tried years ago to begin with Premiere 6 times what I have rejected quite quickly - the program was a disaster, unintuitive, and simply not right for me (the current version is) but certainly not compare with version 6.
Ultimately, it depends but probably synonymous of your favorite hardware from Final Cut is Mac only and if you are already flirting with a Mac, then Final Cut Pro would certainly be the first choice. However, I would be of such advertising on the Apple site (see top left of PM can not) impress too much, otherwise you can indeed simply synonymous to the Avid HP's see - there you'll find a nifty example Demoreel with Robert Rodriguez, who you very much clearly explain is why he cuts all the films ( "From Dusk Till Dawn," "Spy Kids," "Desperado," "Sin City", etc.) exclusively with the Avid Media Composer. In particular, the media has to say in Avid management is simply the best and no preference was a Mr. Walter Murch about this: the synonymous has enough assistants to help him in sorting - a fact which may well demonstrate a very few of us. So very smoothly the production at Cold Mountain, moreover, was not synonymous - in the DVXuser forum there's a thread about this once synonymous and are still being determined 80% of films edited on Avid systems.
Each Manufacturer will find some people who single out one's own solution is likely - that his little revealing. Ultimately, it is synonymous a price.
So my tip: watch demo version of Premiere (I guess there's a - it does not know) and maybe in a Mac shop antesten Final Cut Pro and then decide. You come with two aims - the philosophies are only slightly different. Anyone who comes along well with Photoshop will be able to befriend certain synonymous with premiere.
About the Mac vrs. PC, I would make me not synonymous great idea: to take absolutely nothing and who still maintains, Mac OS would be less stressful, has slept through the development on the other Page somewhere. All this is just a matter of personal taste and the habit (and the style factor, of course - the Macs are simply the best calculator on earth ;-)). If you decide you absolutely can not buy, just one of the new IntelMacs - since you are s.Flexibelsten terms of OS (Windows, Linux, OS X - so everything works on the boxes) and when you should see but that you do not Premiere , you is simply booting OS X and just working with Final Cut Pro.

Hi Jan,
because I seem to the public, the question "Fc or Borussia?" have put too.
So, if there are no serious disadvantages of a program, is the idea with the universal Mac is not entirely wrong.
Where I'd prefer it, in deciding the software is not synonymous to commit myself to the hardware side. That would at Finalcut the case. In contrast to the adobe, which now runs on PC and Mac, gehts then only with an Apple.
Or is now a version for Win?
Jens
Antwort von Pillermännchen:
PS
Am I too stupid to see or is there actually FinalCut no demo version?
Antwort von slysee:
No, as far as I know, there's no demo version from Apple (which have not needed ;-)) and a win version of FC will probably not be as fast synonymous (there were times before, Apple has incorporated FC -- just like Logic, Shake and whatever their names).
If you want to work with FC, you is only the Mac. At the stop running due to Boot Camp, all you half and you open all doors. If you do not want to set of the hardware, you'll just have to choose a program, that there are synonymous for the PC. In addition to the premiere as yet Vegas (wäen FC is not so very different), Canopus Edius, Avid Liquid or Avid Xpress Pro. The new Avid Media Composer 2.5 is a professional solution is now more synonymous to (the first softwareonly MC), but at a price for which you are a Mac Book Pro 17''+ FC Studio get :-).
The differences are of course already exists, but it's just depends on what you want to do what you can accept the learning curve (Avid is not without) and, of course, synonymous in which environment you find yourself. When friends, acquaintances, colleagues, etc. with Premiere and the move is s.Projekten you want to cut all together, it would be obvious, of course, synonymous with working Premiere ('s just s.Einfachsten).
