I wanted time a Newbie question: altern microphones? I would like to be a directional micro growth. Now I asked myself whether it is an older model (ie, approximately 10-20 years) synonymous could do, such as this one:
The values (in this Assessment: http://www.radiodesign.de/museum/kopf.htm) listen to yes for me as a layman is not bad at all ... but I have no idea how far it microphones at a kind of "wear" are also ... I wonder if the newer Mikros technically really are so much improved that we in no way an older model should buy.
To understand: I'm talking here not Opa-models from the 60s or of what, only 3-5 years old ...
the membranes of aging synonymous, which is rarely anywhere to read.

No wonder it is not to read, but to hear ... :-)
It may happen that on the membrane of a large diaphragm mic like the Neumann U87 through years of exposure to cigarette smoke and spit a coating formed by the service technician needs to be scraped off, because the Microphone leads a life of its own and suddenly bollernde sounds are produced, although everything is quiet.
However, such purges not necessarily lead to a success, so why not a new capsule is due. So I would generally not old large diaphragm microphones to buy. In the case of small-diaphragm mics, the risk is not quite so large.

That is not synonymous inevitability. Then your Microphone is always treated well, not smoking and not besabbert.
