| Are there different types of time-code?
Question of Suchender: März 2006
As a "new" I would like once s.alle send a friendly Hello!
My first question relates to the DV editing, capturing the detail. I work until now with Pinnacle 9 (possibly synonymous still 10) and premiere element 2 Some time ago I had requested a trial version of Pinnacle Liquid 6th Unfortunately I could with my two SonyTRV import images for editing 80 no. I always was (an error message which was something like) "Due to missing or incorrect time code is not the task to run." Now that I have now in this (and added respect synonymous in other forums) for an information search, here now my question s.euch knowing. If I want to rise slowly in the higher level of video editing, the possibilities are still open to me, if I use consumer cameras (it is synonymous nor the purchase of an HC1)?? I am still an absolute Armateur with the tendency to a higher, unfortunately, with limited budget.
Many thanks already times in advance for your responses.
Many greetings from the beautiful Sauerland hopefully soon

There are in fact different types of Timecode, Quasi- Standard im Digital- Video Bereich ist allerdings der SMPTE time code.
"Due to missing or incorrect time code, the task can not be executed". One possible cause could be a timecode jump on the tape. The solution might look like so that you continuously copying your tape to another tape, and then a new transitory time code (no timecode jump) is written.

hello, I have a question about this as synonymous.
One possible cause could be a timecode jump on the tape.
I believe I have exactly the problem. However, I work with Premiere 6.0. what is it please enter timecode jump?

Whenever you are recording on the tape, the Timecode runs with. If one tape from the camera in between takes, or the times recorded in the play-assessed mode, it is extremely important to capture before the next function RET * for the correct angle to press for the new recording is added seamlessly s.The previous . If we make this not, one has one on the tape recording with Time Code, then tape a piece that is not encrypted, and then it goes again until next with timecode. And usually again at 00:00:00.00, because the camera thinks that a new, different, not yet coded tape was inserted.
*) So this function is called at least "professional" cameras. I do not know is called exactly like that in the consumer area, have similar views of what belongs to "Blank Search" or.
When capturing the lead TC-jumps (almost) always a problem. Alternatively to the above-described variant with copying the material could be synonymous capture by crash program to record editing. That means recording the program (run without specifying a start time code) can, run and play tape.

... the function of RET ... Thus, this function is called at least "professional" cameras. When labeled consumer camcorders of the relevant Sonyist END button with SEARCH. The same is synonymous for some (all?) DVCAM cameras.
That means recording the program (run without specifying a start time code) can, run and play tape. Usually I capture in this way, the TC is making jumps or gaps no problems - at least in the Matrox capture tool.

Thanks for the quick answers!
So if I understand correctly your answer, then I can take synonymous with consumer cameras and later with my semi-professional DV editing software make.
Sounds so good!!
Has anybody of a true successor of HC 1 and thus synonymous A1 belongs, and s.welcher serial number has probably HC1, the new firmware?
Again, I have strained the search and nothing "accurate" found, so thanks again for the answers in advance!
Many greetings from the beautiful Sauerland region this afternoon

I was struck by that is that the timecode when recording that I actually tried to install the timecode skipping, but I do not exactly know what to make of it. I've never had before. na ichs know now, yes. Thanks again.
