I use the additional synonymous thread because in my DCR TRV 740 synonymous not fit. major thread in the EA 86 is still a transition to the thread diameter of the smaller size tripod screw (for the camcorder are typical). with a slot screwdriver, you can screw this rausdrehen then adjusts the supplied extra thread synonymous to the 86th EA
