| Buy 4 identical questions about the Chechen GS180EG-S
Question of chris.master: Januar 2007
Hi,
I just play very hard with the idea of buying me the GS180. Several tests have already Gelsen and leisure here in the forum. Even when data is compared with the 280er and 300er me are not "so big" differences noticed the extra cost justified. However, I still have a few final questions:
1. is an optical Image Stabilization better than the electronic, and if so, is it really noticeable when one of their nature, a "steady hand" is?
2. In the product of the 180er LCD display is 4:3, however, they synonymous 16:9 high resolution recording. Did you ALSO the "true" 16:9?
3. what is the difference between an active and passive accessory shoe, and I can synonymous Mikros example of Canon or Sonyanschließen?
4. I have read here in the forum that usually in the spring of new models that get out and then the show is synonymous. Is it a better experience, until mid-2007 to buy because the prices of the "discontinued models" are, or hold it still stable?
5. I have forgotten NEN point, the current price difference of 150, - EUR justified?
Thanks for the help.

Hello,
I write to you as a mal-GS180 owners.
1. is an optical Image Stabilization better than the electronic, and if so, is it really noticeable when one of their nature, a "steady hand" is?
Yes, an optical stabilizer is somehow "smoother", I felt it.
I could also examine the stability of the GS180 with the GS27 (both electronical) compare and found him much better. My general thoughts relating to stabilizer is that this issue tend to be highly evaluated, because no white stabilizer, which movements intentionally and unintentionally what are. Once any pans are in the game, a stabilizer significantly more problems than it solves and synonymous with the swing settings without changing it, the only jitter (small wobblers are rausgenommen, which remain large and unnatural look strangely out), but not eliminated it completely . Whether the result is better, one can argue about.
After several attempts with and without do I use a tripod wherever possible. I have very good experiences with a monopod and made for a steady hand and without a lot of zoom can be very respectable images synonymous with no stability (and without a tripod) will receive.
On the subject of GS180 and stabilizer should be very clearly say that you like when shooting in 16:9 mode stabilizer NOT available!
2. In the product of the 180er LCD display is 4:3, however, they synonymous 16:9 high resolution recording. Did you ALSO the "true" 16:9? Yes, she has, the perspective widens So when switching to 16:9.
3. what is the difference between an active and passive accessory shoe, and I can synonymous Mikros example of Canon or Sonyanschließen?
The latter can be so sweeping, I'm going to not answer. "Passive" means that it is the bare operator without power supply. If the accessories aufgesteckte So either its power or even bring about external cable covers, then das
For my part, I am very satisfied with the 180th

Hi,
thanks for the info.
That with the 16:9 but I would still be interested!
Will I get quality loss when editing or changing the image when I use the movie to 16:9 conversion?
Thank you

I have read here in the forum that usually in the spring of new models that get out and then the show is synonymous. In the forum, it is like in real life: Not everything that is written somewhere, agrees synonymous. Neither is the "fair" (but a few over the year) or new models usually come in the spring (but also throughout the year). Especially since the cameras are often synonymous until months after its introduction in Germany actually have to buy. From this view, it is practically impossible, the best time of the purchase price forecast.

If I have understood everything correctly, this is the indicator of "true" 16:9, as opposed to "letterbox", where the top and bottom just a black bar appears.
Schöne Grüße, Markus
Exactly, I thought the. Is this true die180 now 16:9 or letterbox only? Thank you

We agree on an extended 16 / 9 mode, with real (as it is synonymous, I have mentioned some time - the synonymous Nothing to be done) we are not in High Definition and 16 / 9 sensors. Letterbox - such as the GS 27 & 37 makes, the GS 180 but not described well with Mark of the angle of switching.
The 180 has no active shoe, which comes only with the GS 500 at the 2006 products. Is synonymous but no problem. A lamp is concerned, the man who presses start is nice, but the electricity goes through the Camera Battery and then quickly break down. Those with a stronger flash (with Flash MiniDV models 2006 GS 280 / 300 / 500) needs requires the active synonymous shoe.
The GS 500 can be quite handy as the one! Output / input for the control and camera! the Mirkofoneingang has. When VMH 3 (active shoe) that is used, the socket for the remote free zb with the included wired remote.
Digital stabilizers are improved, especially the earlier verschrienen of Panasonic. An aspiring filmmaker can but the difference between GS 180 & 280 see. Amateurs & Newcomers rather less, as has Mark's right.
At GS 180 vs 280 differences - that we had only a week .....
