| Conversion 4 / 3 after 16 / 9
Question of canovision: Oktober 2008
Hello,
'm new here, reverently to extend greetings to all sides and dare, once with a question to come:
Is there any way material that Dv-4 / 3 has been created in 16 / 9 to convert, without stretched or squashed images to light?
Did with my Canon XL-1 over the years much s.Tier-u.Naturfilmszenen accumulate things that are not repeatable, and wishes for a possible switch to the XL-2 in 16 / 9 go on, but as I said, my 4 / 3 equipment racks. At the XL-1 was synonymous to opportunity, 16 / 9 to rotate, however, with visible loss of quality.
Do you advice? Thanks in advance

Hi,
I can not imagine that it will work, I think it is not because more pixels than you've recorded, so you can just stretch it. Otherwise you can of course bar, as one knows from television, so you obviously synonymous limit the surface of the picture, but can at least choose the cut.
To be with the XL 2 to connect must be scaled back (is not anamorphic), say you'll get quality loss. Instead, you could synonymous XL 1 data directly into a 16:9 project and accordingly invite upscaling, then you save yourself a step, but did not really synonymous better result.
Alternatively, it synonymous with the XL 2 in 4:3 on film (haha) ... Sorry, what else, I do not: - /
Greetings!
