| Convert HD to SD

Now I have what I eingebrockt! Have no experience with HD material and it is essential to a DVD of my movie. With my Canon XHA1, I could actually have the HD material Downconvert as DV material into my Final Cut Program to restore the works ... but not. Whenever I use the Fire Wire anstöpsle hoary the display in the Camera and it does not work.
The HD material via Compressor to convert to MPEG2, unfortunately, has only moderate results -> with best quality setting DV 90 minutes. Maybe someone can give me a hint to what I have to do. Have now synonymous with Manual already tried a lot.

I am writing this with Axel, at least once a week. Why do not you use the search function as an intelligent person?
1. HDV time. No, not down-convert in the camera. HDV real time. So you really HDV editing: Menu: File: Easy Setup: HDV: 1080/50i.
2. Never work with DV, HDV if you have.
3. All very normal cutting, the sequence output via Compressor in Compressor DVD: Select the maximum quality. Or a DVD Voreistellung parse with 16:9 and 8 Mbit / s and CBR. That is certainly good. So you create directly from the HDV material a PAL DVD. No intermediate steps!

Thanks s.Euch, have already tried! Have everything set of Power Mac as described ... except for the CBR! I do not get the set. There always remains the possibility VBR set. Where can I do that ... the way, are the results after turning down the bit rate has become much better! LG Michaela
