I'm new or inexperienced as regards the traditional DV editing.
My problem: I have an interview with a cut length of 30 minutes with Premiere CS4. It was shot on DVCPRO i50. I would basically playing off a quicktime. Preferably already on 1 / 4 runterskaliert.
I go about exporting pick my codec and the Adobe Media Encoder starts up and loads the job in the queue.
But then there's an error. The encoder can not read the sources.
I've already researched synonymous bit, but unfortunately, no helping hand available.
Can I somehow play the video directly from premiere? Real fight is just for hair.
Has anyone a solution and can help me?
Regards, Jörg

Hi,
quicktime is indeed erstma basically just a container ... with what settings (codec, etc.) you want to play it? Other settings trying times?

Hi Rush,
yes, got the settings querbeet modified. I simplify for the files named in the Project Manager otherwise. Perhaps there lies the problem?
Have now been found in any case a solution wahnsinns: I have written an EDL from PremiereCS4 them in CS3 and re-fed. Is not that a high-end pipeline? My Media Encoder is now the CS3: D
I hope it funzt. If not, I'll get me some chocolate and send the project back. Ask me what I really thought when I took this job (probably nothing)
But thanks. Jörg
