I've decided for EyeTV 250 for VHS videos to digitizer and then to DVD to burn. Now I have problems with the recruitment of EyeTV. Under settings / tools / encoding, you can select different formats. From MPEG1 to DVD compliant MPEG2. Does it make sense überhaup, a VHS video in the highest quality list? The aim is to make the burned DVD's later via DVD Players and TV view.
PS. It is an age-old holiday videos, then a standard format.
Has anyone a tip?

I would not try with this hardware, but DVD-compliant MPEG2 would have been useful. Try it a try.

I have your original question again read. Do you want without any further processing of video recordings on VHS to DVD. In this case, a DVD recorder is a simple and good solution.

Sometimes I am a bit premature, but I have not lot of old videos to catch up. That should be part of something longer synonymous - and of course, synonymous funjtionieren. But after I played the various pages in our online shop and the manufacturer have read already, I believe that I have the right part ordered. For the price of 178, - Euros.

Have some videos now digitized, it is me once iMovie crashed. Now I have on my 30 GB system partition is only 4 GB free (which to me means more editing to prevent iDVD - too little space).
How can I find out unnecessary files and delete them?

All scenes and then, if necessary, delete it. - Or do you like that?
With only 30 GB of free memory but I would urgently recommend additional hard drive. 30 GB is simply not enough.

Problem has been solved. Had accidentally in another folder. Now, again enough space there.
PS. Have a plate in 120 MB, but unfortunately in 2 partitions.
