Who of you has HD content is already successfully on any burned disc? Please describe exactly what codecs with which DVD standard (if applicable), which blank, what burner, what player.

This part of the question of sense. Standardized BlueRay and HD-DVDs, only MPEG-II HD, H.264 and VC1 in accordance with standardized Resolutions and frame rates have. However, it is purely rhetorical, of course, because there is currently out of Scenarist, and the company's internal tools of Sony & Co., not a single program on the planet that a 100% standards-compliant BD or HD-DVD ausspuckt. Everything else is craft solutions and if there is 50 people post, you're so smart after exactly as before. o) Ask ten people and ud get ten different answers.

I was not only about compatibility with the players now available ( "the official Player of the Universal Masterpiece Edition"). There is so synonymous to EVDs the Xoro with such a player should be. There are software players on computers, the various MPEG or WMV streams in HD resolution of the disc to play HD-DVDs from the DSP, the standard of blanks with regular DVD structure s.Mac abespielt can be, and knows the cuckoo what else is there.
It interested me just as you do this.
Diffusion and thus compatible to think for me is still too early, although I am already interested synonymous who is a working HD DVD or Blu Ray home burned, such as one based on the SonyPS runs. Write something about this.

MVDL? Can you describe what authoring software you use, what burning program, etc.?

I use Magix Video Deluxe 2007 Plus version with mpeg4
Activation for the export of mpeg4 (HD DVD), so it is
possible HD DVD (static or animated) with the integr. Tool
to create and burn (goes with 720 or 1080).
Chapter markers and writing, transitions, etc., anything is possible!
For Computer Hardware: Laptop 1.73 Ghz, 1 GB RAM and dual-DL
DVD Burner.
But the whole process (approx. 20 min HD DVD) takes over
6 hours.
I have usdamit (clips available on the net eg NASA mission with Udo Reiter, etc. Note )----( duration or DVD-R DL) has 7 HD DVD.

Hmm, well I did not MVDL. Impressive, that the DVD as "Mini HD DVD (it is a fixed term?) On the Toshiba player is running. I did take a quick shot for a Toshiba player for me at work (from scratch, you can up to 1080p) recording, created with DSP (Toshiba supposedly compatible), DVD (normal 4.7 GB DVD-R Verbatim blank) was synonymous read , and it appeared "HD DVD" on the display, but then something came in the way of "This disc can not be played." Should we perhaps for such a mini-HD the data limit? For me it's the 25 Mbit / s (or HDV)?. Is it better to H.264? Because the DVD with these data Rotlaser not achieved? It should be the thing with a simple Picture Start Menu ...
You see, for HD DVD I still missing the semi-healthy ;-)

HD-DVD on standard DVD (UDF 2.5) can be burned if necessary to run the Xbox360
Toshiba comes when the message
This disc is not DVD format. Playback is not possible.

Have tried a lot with the following settings and it worked.
- Hook set at "smart rendering (no re-encoding of MPEG video
With advanced MPEG settings:
- 16:9 (my recording format)
- 59.94 Framrate
- Video Bitrate (kbps) 20 000
- Video Format NTSC
- Interlace mode - interlaced (Bottom Field First)
Do not ask me why these values, but it works and the player
play mini HD DVD without Mucke from. (Incl. startup image and text and music)

So today we have quite a few solutions to BD-R or HD DVDs synonymous to create and to burn. The train for the selbstgefilmte material rather goes out to Blu Ray. And you can certainly synonymous BDMV structure to burn regular DVDs and play - which is often referred to as "AVCHD DVD," is designated. This goes perfectly, but not all applications from the promise. And not all BD players can read DVDs, BDMV, and not all can play BDs self. We stand there in a rather early stage - but early solutions are already there.

So I do WMV-HD with 10Mbps in 720/50p to DVD-R of Taijo Yuden with Plextor burners and the games I s.Mvix with MX-760HD via USB2 connected external DVD drive (or even better directly s.interner 400GB hard drive). Looks both fantastic and works flawlessly. They can temporarily with my Blue-ray and HD-DVD the hump runterrutschen :-)
