I am having trouble digitizing my old VHS-C cassettes. My structure looks as follows:
VHS Recorder VHS Adapterkasette Scart / RCA. Adapter cable Canopus ADVC-55 Firewire card Ulead Video Studio 7 SE Basic
If I want to capture now appears each time after a few seconds an error message that no video source or there would be no "device control" is selected. In the Device Manager (Windows 2000) is the firewire card, however, recognized. The hardware in general is not the strongest (933 Mhz, 768 MB RAM).
Where could my problem is, I do not know next?
Thanks in advance Ferdi

Hi Ferdi,
it must not only recognize the firewire card, but the synonymous A / D converter.
For more info you can find here: " FireWire FAQ">camcorder / recorder s.PC connect, capture and edit images "

Hi Marcus,
Thank you for your answer. Unfortunately, the two links are not an improvement is created. I have the 12 potential solutions by reading through and partially synonymous led, but no change in sight. Firewire will be recognized in Device Manager, but not the Canopus A / D converter, which it depends.
Hat maybe someone problems with Firewire under Windows 2000?!
Thank you very much Ferdi

it's been something done ...
When I use the Firewire driver again uninstalled and reinstalled have Windows 2000 recognizes the meantime at least, that something s.dem firewire port dranhängt .. ( "Windows DV Camera" or so) only recognizes what it is not.
usb works now unfortunately no longer synonymous, so that I no longer use external devices can be ..
