Moin, a great forum with lots of useful info and nice people.
Nevertheless, I'm not really come next ... I currently issue a Pana GS500, with which I am very satisfied.
But ... A few days ago I was tempted to buy one Samsung SMX-play drive to C10. Was just very cheap ... The image quality is rather below ground for today's standards, but it works with memory cards is much more fun than with the bands.
Therefore I have decided to find me a camera that delivers the same excellent image quality as the GS500, and is affordable, saves on SD. I do not need full HD. Also I do not need the extensive manual options as for the GS500. I make my movies on standard DVD. I cut with Media Studio Pro, Magix Video Deluxe and Premium.
I now have time looking in the direction, but found so many cameras that I am at a loss. Therefore I would like to draw on your experiences and ask you to find the recommendations. Maybe even a used one synonymous, which he wants to sell. LG peter

Does that mean you need no HD, but only an affordable camcorder in PAL resolution? Then take a look at times a Canon FS200.

Thanks for the answer ... No, I do not need HD. Therefore, I have the 5DMKII. Pal, but good that it should be. Ideally, as good as the GS500.
The Canon FS200 synonymous, I have already had in mind. Has actually getting good reviews. What bothers me is the electronic image stabilizer. Experience is not that the truth.
What should we think of the Panasonic SDR-H250 too? I've found here in the forum a lot, but nothing really concrete. 3chip OIS that I know of, and the GS500. If the two cameras together? LG peter

Thanks for the reply. The GS500 is not HD. This is a normal Mini-DV. For HD, I have as I said, the DSLR. I want a purely documentary purposes at a small camera. My wife needs to come clear. For them, the DSLR is nothing. This is as a movie:
This is done with the little Samsung. I will stop offering better quality than the Samsung. LG peter

At Canon, the electronic stabilizers are generally okay.

I'll hold of ELCT. Stability is not so much synonymous. The optical stabilizers are, however, with the best of Canon s.Markt (ok ok before me now stoned some of my friends neck and reading Nikon - Nikon is synonymous fine;-P)

I have now is not the latest test results at hand, but in the past it was often so that electronic stabilizers of Sonyoder Canon works better than optical stabilizers of Panasonic or JVC. The quality of stabilizers depends less of the type of stabilization (vs. Pixel reserve. Lens shift) s.als of the type of data collection (gyro-sensor vs.. Image Analysis).
