After I read along busy few days in your forum, I am here this time logged in:).
Cameras I use mainly for my friends and me dancing selfish craft in clubs, at concerts, or when filming of choreographic elements.
Years ago it all started with a simple camcorder from JVC stupid market, which was to my chagrin at modest light completely useless. I accepted this, and thought nothing of it next. Cameras are just a way point ..
Then one day I came by chance on an old SonyPC110E that suddenly, when synonymous modest monochrome, finally brought light into the dark clubbing. And it was definitely a good decision, rather than once again from the 199th - a simple class film dumplings a once quite expensive, but to buy old Cam.
2 years I now had a lot of fun with the part, and it still runs well satisfactory. I do not need HD and not run after every trend. I buy what I mean to do s.ehesten.
This year, our small troupe 5 years old. And as I thought it would be a good opportunity to tinker with other event-times a little short film, I looked again to search for a Cam. After a full day browse in Slashcam via firewire, cables, program settings, and co. then threw a pack of 5 s.ende cheap DV tapes from the discount food store, which was the source of error! ... Namely, after I took up with another cartridge once a sample snippet Tonknackser were suddenly swept away.
So and so sometimes my questions to the DV tape:
- How can I tell if these things are too old? - Where can I get her as "fresh" tapes? - Which brands are the most recommended?
And then something about the accessories, because this camera makes real desire to shoot: D ...:
- What accessories retailer can you recommend? - Where there may be still other sources for good used accessories for this old Schätzke? - What Workshops (; possible NRW) are recommended in the event of a worst case? I ask this because the search for a good watchmaker has cost me some time synonymous: D ..

Ps: The Cam I am very satisfied and will soon be time for friends and the club owners and band rehearsals gigs shooting. They were really synonymous very impressed of the quality of the images. I am grateful for this time so here Riesenberg s.Wissen that the users have gathered here:).

The age of the tapes is certainly not the cause of problems in the recording, so far, the questions a bit in the wrong direction. tapes are still one of the most durable storage medium: Since it does not matter if the package now four weeks or six months at the dealer was.

If you have a Sony haste, then stay at the ribbons synonymous with Sony. From my own long experience with, inter alia, TRV900, VX1000, VX2000 and VX2100 can I in good conscience recommend that even the premium tapes. Of difficulties associated with these bands, we read almost exclusively in use in camcorders other manufacturers (especially Canon drives were there at times very vulnerable). sony premium tapes are with the cheapest out there at all, get pretty much anywhere and do their duty. What more could you want? These issues have been discussed fully by the way in the Forum so often that you determined with the search feature to find additional information.

I can advise you of sony premium only! For me, the worst tapes ever made. They have smeared me with all the cameras I have used them or had to use-XL1, Z1, FX7 ...

The search is synonymous with the more ne good idea to have clear, only in "DV tapes quality" and the like I have become not really find it. Ausserrdem I can well imagine, as the recommended value of is not necessarily earlier today asked yet.
Well, today I just look stupid in the market and am just not the cheapest with.

Okay, that one can understand ;-) I can only tell my own experience (and that of a colleague who also produced commercial) and are the with the premium tapes in Sony camcorders very positive in your defect rate is several years less than one percent. Maybe Panasonic tapes are an alternative for you? The generally enjoy a good reputation that has seen me but once in a VX2100 provided to dropouts and other errors galore, so I tape me to the third useless very quickly it was adopted. But maybe you have better luck.

The pana is indeed probably the better choice. Since I bought my first DV camcorders have, I've used those and da gabs no probs. OK, I'm in 4 years synonymous included only about 20 cassettes. Now I'm reading through the "hard tapes, soft tapes" story pushed, and the "hard tape" the head is not doing so well ...
/ Edit: And come anyway because apparently all the tapes rolled from only two factories, it seems so well-synonymous sausage, to make brand name a head.
/ EDIT II: So, now for the first time a 2nd Battery, a pack of 10 cartridges and an eBook:
ordered from the net. Since I have an ebook reader, it is worth it, because the part is no longer well-printed ... Was paid in a few minutes and already on my calculator. Brave new world, I save myself going to the Mayer's: D. ..
