The search gave me no information about my question may be - I have looked into my Adobe Premiere video in 16:9 format and 720x576 pixels resolution Compiled cuts. If I then premiere the DVD into MPEG2 files can encode and burn to DVD is the picture on my 4:3 television on the left and right, the picture cut off. Good, yes it can be easy to resolve, simply to "letterbox" represent. However, the DVD is not for me, and something not everyone knows yes, yes there is the possibility for example by the IFO Edit so that only the letterbox is allowed.
And now to my question: What do because then 16:9 television, if only allowed to letterbox? Reflected in the left, right, top and bottom of a black rim? And how is the professionally produced at the shoot? As seems to always be yes irgenwie work.
Thank you in advance for your answers, maurizio

Dear Maurizio,
you find here in the forums or the FAQs, many statements on this issue. Also in Wikipedia, or, or ....
Very briefly, when you have to encode in 16:9 encode and later when authoring the DVD letterbox easy setup ...
I encode with cleaner XL from Avid out and make my DVDs with Adobe Encore DVD of that works simply and easily.
On a 4:3 Television with bar and on a 16:9 television without a bar. As requested ....
(already on your TV / Player 16:9 wide and pulled the side-cut will stop without the typical bar is a special function of your TV or player)
Good luck,
Andreas.
PS: Of course, "letterboxed" Wiedegabemodus as standard on the DVD player and / or TV set ... but since you have no influence on it if you like someone DVDs produced TV and player to be suspended, but is actually the consumer standard.

Hello,
first thank for the answer.
I know that I think a lot of information - that has given me very helpful synonymous. My question was simply whether the DVD, where I only allow the letterbox to 16:9-Television without stripes then appear. But because it is so apparently I'm just happy;).
