My PC does not recognize external disk, neither Digital Camera or MP3 player.
I do everything exactly as before, it is synonymous of this noise "plong" that something has been connected, but the removable disk does not appear easy.
Even have a card reader, but the xD card synonymous not recognize ..
Have XP.
Has anyone experience that?

How many partitions did you do on your hard drive? XP reserved for external disk drive "E". If this drive letter is already taken appear to USB sticks ect. may not in Explorer.
Control Panel-> Administrative Tools-> Computer Management-> Disk Management can be assigned drive letters and mapped.
Simply been there and see whether the player Camera/MP3 appear there and assign a drive letter then it should go.

DV editing on my PC by default, all drive letters to H inclusive: with hard disks and drives for removable media are filled.
External storage medium such as USB sticks, digital (photo) cameras are hard disks, etc. were simply following drive letter assigned. A problem occurred so far does not occur.
The same external drive on another PC does not get assigned the same letter, incidentally, but again the next available in the alphabet.
Should we stop somewhere in Windoze?

When the top of s.alle drives when installing the operating system were already there, it is usually not a problem. The problems begin when a partition is deleted, or times when you are s.Netzwerken server with different mapped drives. The problem is that in XP, the drive mappings are set to be re-stored and einglesen not like older operating systems at each reboot.
