85% of the current television shows are still 4-3 and 16:9 with black bars in letterbox method. Here are just right and the left a little is cut off. In the vertical direction are more critical but all Lines shown. A scrolling text therefore needs no longer a safe distance from the bottom. 11% of the flat panel television is .... And so all 16:9 I think. This cut no more Of the Sendefläche from ... including synonymous?? Since 4% with RöhrenTVs remain in the 16:9 could have a problem ... But one should, therefore, the representation for 96% of viewers / reduce deteriorate? ...
I have today delivered an animated film with a large agency, and the above background for the 16:9 display on ActionSafe deliberately omitted ... promt and have seen all there in their manuals, which require Actionsafe And I had to turn it into a thumbnail .... Incidentally, I work for the WDR and then we abandon synonymous recently on the Action / Titelsafe.
Is there irgenteinen reason I do not know the Safebereich get?? (; unless s.rechten and left edge would be something very important)
Thanks for any answers ....

But, unfortunately, they already do. So much so, that is on a Full HD TV with an HD picture somewhat upscale - which is extremely stupid, because then the pixel resolution is not played. For the bulk of the sales of HD-ready TVs overscan is always active, and some even advertised as full HD devices do not let him off, only newer / better Full HD Television usually offer the option to turn off the overscan. But the user must then make the menu yourself, and only a few "normalos" are even aware of the problem.

My humble opinion on the subject:
"TitleSafe" but always makes (sense, synonymous with devices without overscan), because aesthetically, I do not think it would be if run rolling or Kriechtitel on the extreme right or bottom edge. This can be seen anywhere yet, right?

The WDR waived "TitleSave"??
On my DVD's for the extended circle of relatives and acquaintances I always pay on embarrassing "ActionSafe" and "TitleSafe" (; synonymous when most of these problems do not know), since I never know what TV's have the respective persons.

We must clearly distinguish between the extreme Circumcised that occurred in the old tube televisions (; where, for example, the ZDF-Logo almost completely) disappears, and the more subtle Circumcised today's flat panel displays.
A clue: when I my computer via DVI / HDMI LCD TV s.meinen subscribe, down only a narrow strip of the Windows bar visible. My guess is that the trim around there is in the order of 30 to 40 pixels (, relative to 1920 x 1080).
Titelsafe a large area, as earlier in the tube televisions, so you need no more. However one can not synonymous to assume that really up to the edge everything is visible.

I need to add me:
Without understanding much of current thinking regarding the sender of this issue during the changeover period of 4x3 to 16x9 to or know personally I would find it fitting, if in the future, 16x9 displays without overscan the "TitleSave-area" the place of today's "would take ActionSafe-Area". Just for aesthetic reasons.

To complement a quote from the BET-line Technical Dictionary: "If you are with the safe area, especially with the Safe Title Area in production is now very accurate, the position of work lost titles on modern displays anything. The security zone is therefore now more of a zone of uncertainty."
