First of a warm Welcome!
Since I am now a novice in this forum, and since the early
Weeks feverishly busy figuring out how I s.besten 16 Video8 tapes to DVD, get, and the most favorable.
I herausgekramt the bag with the tapes and the old Video8 camera (and Canon Canovision E60) and had to find tolerable, this is defective. Probably seems to be a disease of this treasure, that the capacitors (give up the ghost;) according to my Internet research, well, as always synonymous.
I have a powerful PC, now I miss only a playback control for the tapes, speaking a Video8 camcorder and a suitable add-on card for the PC.

What add-on card for the PC?
Pinnacle, Terratec, etc., since there is huge choice of 30-300 ¬
What future is there? Which are good?
Because I want to buy me in the future with certainty or a "modern" digital camcorder, the card should still be usable.
With Pinnacle's already a lot here, including the software.
Are there any experiences? How is the quality, how big are the opportunities? Are there any good open source Programs such as Gimp for
Image editing?

There were (; or spend there) Digital8 camcorders that Video8/Hi8-Aufnahmen in digital form on their Firewire interface - that you will need s.Hardware only a Firewire port in your calculator and no video capture card. However, this can hardly watch all Digital8 camcorders, ie before the purchase if the camcorder can.

But it's true, we should not have much money for a (; outdated) print product that serves the sole purpose of playing 16 Video8 tapes.
How important are the images on the tapes? There are of course synonymous companies which can Digitalisierungen of any kind, and then possibly be in much better quality than ours. But this is not necessarily cheap.

But really, please read the above thread of me and the other links mentioned in it carefully. At this level, is synonymous among other things, that a Digital8 camcorder (or, if this ever in a position), Video8 tapes may reflect better quality CAN, as a Video8 or Hi8 camcorder, but not must.
