| Masking Effects

I want to produce radio waves, so I create a new layer, a solid color is applied to the effect.
But since I only want to see the right half of the waves, I want to mask it.
I've been through all kinds of masks, of subtracting to add, but it is doing absolutely nothing.
Why is that?

Subtract to add "are Verknüpfungsmodi for layers and no masks. To what editing program, is it really about?

It's about After Effects.

Uh, I do not understand your problem ...
You know what a mask is and you know how to apply?
If not, then help you help File of AE.
If you know what is a mask, then create one in your solid layer and scale it so that only the longer waves in the picture that you want to see. Quite simple, right?
