Hello and Gruezi, I'm new here and hab mal ne question: what actually is known as "Mastertape". I've given my problems with it. Is it the tape, when it was recording, so the original? or is it the tape, after editing, for example, final cut, zurückgespeilt was, so the backup copy on tape from the finished film edited? If Letz, WIEE heist then "video" of the original band with the recording?
Best regards and Merci
Stephan

When linear DV editing is called the cut version of an original, so the tape to which the settings in the desired sequence and length have been copied.
When nonlinear editing on the computer makes this concept not so much sense.
