Hello! My question is, I have something recorded on MiniDisc, which I would now like to play on my PC laptop. The MiniDisc recorder has a Line-input and one for Microphone. As I now get the audio data to my PC? Can I import the audio data input via the line input on my MiniDisc recorder, and what input as I need on my laptop? Need in a program system to merge to that? Or I can zb capture in Adobe Premiere? What cable do I need? Urgently need your help!
Antwort von oliver II:
Hello Kira!
On your MiniDisc player line-out case (or so) be at least one headphone output. The line input for recording as to the MiniDisc recorder. Should be a line input and you need (probably to your notebook) is a cable that is) on either side of a stereo jack (3.5 mm. A good and free software is Audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net)
Antwort von Kira:
the cable I already have! The headphone output is not directly on the MiniDisc recorder, but on this "intermediate module", through which one can control the recorder. What I've done is connect the headphone output with the terminals of the laptop. He's headset jack, Microphone, A / V Out, Line-no. He has but does not clearly identified.
Rausspielen So I can in any case, I need have only the right input on the laptop, I understood correctly? I have only USB connections, firewire, A / V out and monitor connections, etc. Can I use a Capture Of these, gibts adapter with which it works?
Thanks for the help, please (see next:)
Antwort von oliver II:
What laptop did you get? And what a MiniDisc player?
Antwort von Kira:
SonyVaio VGN - A195EP, MiniDiscMan (quite old) MDLP of Sony Recording MD MZ-R700

OK, the laptop actually has no LineIn :-( The MD player to my knowledge has directly synonymous s.Gerät a headphone output (the place where you the remote control) plug.
Try to connect just once, the headphone jack with the mic input of the notebook. Under Windows accessories you'd have to find the audio recorder, with which you can try if it would work the dubbing.
If not (or the result of a bad thing), you may find an external sound card next example: http://www.arlt.com/shop/warenkorb.php?subm=get_it&wg=all&wgname=sound&subwg=184&searchwordfff =% 3E% 3Cg0184 & artnr = 1120481 & Arlt_Session = 7e4df260926d7bfee2fa26f842f09025
or look at guenstiger.de times for external sound cards
Antwort von Kira:
I'm going to try it! Only Hope the laptop recognizes the device when trying times right now infected ichs s.MD recorder, habs, I already tried it once and he did not realize it, but when plugged wars on the remote control.
Do you think that it can work synonymous, when I try einzuspielen via USB?
In any case: Thanks for your help! I'll sign, as it has gone!
Many greetings Kira

1. Your laptop will not recognize the device (sowas is only for certain inputs, such as USB or Firewire) 2. How do you want to join the MD via USB? What kind of cable you want to use it? I know none of that can that.
Simply Connect the two devices, as described run the Audio Recorder and start your MD. Push in audio recorder on the red dot and then it should work properly.

You must always connect an output of the MD recorder with an input of the notebook. The line-out is an output, not input. If your laptop has no line-in, which is stupid, do not change it too.
The line-out or headphones-out on the MD recorder, you could theoretically connect with the microphone-in, the notebook, but it is very likely the sound too loud and clipping, as the microphone input is designed for much weaker signals. If the sound quality is not in the foreground, one could use an attenuator, the output signal of the MD recorder, as far as slowing down, that the Microphone input of the notebook, it can cope.
If the sound quality is important, I see only three possibilities: 1) Purchase an external sound card for USB port (such as this one). Which then has a line-in. 2) Purchase of a new MD recorder that can transfer its data directly via USB. 3) If it is only for this one Studio: Dubbing of MD to CD by someone else who has the necessary equipment.

Hello,
as a last resort you could be the signal of the MD players via line-out /
Headphone output with the mic input of your camera to tape
record via Firewire and the sound capture.

Hello!
should be your MD through a USB port available, you can use the recorded material with Sony's SonicStage software to transfer to your calculator. The program offers the opportunity to save recordings as WAV files, which you can then use directly. Basically, you should prefer the digital transmission, as is seen almost no loss of sound and you do not have to disqualify the recording. Especially on-board laptop sound cards often offer only poor quality of analog audio inputs .. Your MD should not be suitable for SonicStage, MD, you can still get digital via SPDIF into the computer. Most of the "stand up"-MD devices provide the matching output, as most of fresher laptops have an SPDIF input ..
much joy and greet

The older portable MD recorders have not yet USB Digital out. Kira had this model.

The standard microphone inputs s.PCs my experience, are only mono. As a workaround so kannste a USB sound adapter take (borrow?), Which has a Line IN. Then 2 sound adapter haste and just need to activate the appropriate input for recording.

Well, it probably all boils down to the external sound card. If he has previously set, and here again the link: http://cgi.ebay.de/Trust- USB soundcard-5-1-Dolby Digital-7-1-external-Profi_W0QQitemZ120021691286QQihZ002QQcategoryZ96488QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Instead the next time make the same mistake and still buy a MD device, I recommend rather the Edirol R-1 (from experience), or R-09 (which is not the pots, up to 48kHz).
The images in 24 bits are really very good and clearly provide a better basis for mix works as 16 bit. That the R-1 receives only 44.1kHz has never bothered me. I even get amazing shots of bats, despite this "restriction" on the Compact Flash cards.
Rüberkopieren on the calculator is either via USB or card reader. With the Archos Gmini402 I make backups of the full maps.
Personally, I feel as an MD recorder is not as robust as it is commonly called. And the possibility to WAV is no argument. If the converter is garbage, no use to me, the cleverest medium nothing.
And with the ATRAC compressed images is still analogue dub to the Calculator to a favorable option, of course, but not necessarily good.

Thank you for the many tips! I have avoided all this now and it raufgespielt a Mac, because it has a line input, burned to CD and then raufgespielt with me!
An external sound card is too expensive for me, because I do not know how often I will use it at all. That with the MIC input did not work. The MD's just very old, but I wanted to buy a new synonymous! practical it is safe, if you have a USB with has or whatever.
Great forum here! Many good answers and tips. Now I know for me at least, thanks to your advice in general much better:) problem rather than resolved, and so bypassed somehow solved!
