Hello,
There are various programs for the TFT-adjustment: http://www.prad.de/new/monitore/testsoftware/testsoftware.html

In the amateur field it makes little sense without its monitors and gauges into the blue into it to adjust. First you need a common reference playback device that you follow the instructions of http://www.belle-nuit.com/testchart.html vote. Only then should the Windows monitors in the immediate visibility of the reference device is also therefore be coordinated, which often means that the hardware monitor to maximum contrast and gamma and then colors with the video card drivers to adjust so that the reference image as close as possible to see. Complete agreement, however, you will never achieve.

Is "HDTV" since a too recently calibrated monitor format?
Read you a little in the theory of calibration in a production pipeline, a PowerMac!
It is, in short, when calibrating simply means that all connected devices same (if possible) the same show! And in a way that your eye picture on the camera screen at the same recording as it was judged on the computer monitor is going to do and finally the expression on the printer again with no surprises coming out. So is a kind of "normalization" of indicator values, so that it "always looks the same," synonymous if the display-processing media and switch.

The question is synonymous whether the monitor (s) the color play. Also makes it einm TN panel rather little sense after Farbnormen be calibrated since its construction, not the same brightness throughout the display herscht.
If you do not just build a television studio, it is completely test images using color and contrast values halfway sensible set.
