| Need [much] your help: Problem with transfer XM2

Heyho!
I just got the XM2 my brother got out of the corner. I want to film a scene so s.freitag. Now, I thought you walk erstmal sure those still going. :) Does not, of course. Now I plug the thing once s.meinen laptop. (USB, Win 7), failed.
Then my old PC (XP) turned on, Windows Movie Maker starts, Firewire cable and USB cable in, import video of falls => failed ².
Can I tell someone what I do wrong?
Camera was switched on and play recording mode was not changed either. Do I need to confirm anything yet, to upload any drivers? Why is the camera with usb is not autom. recognized? It is not even the alarm device for a new one. _.
Is really quite urgent because I want to film with the camera s.Freitag (which is still ^ ^) and then transfer these movies on your PC and what was to integrate into a PPT but I will nich manage it. hilfee: P

Possible that your Firewire cable is broken,
or your whole firewire jack is broken ... then it had to import ner with the other cam dv tapes ...
If you have a lot of happiness, is simply the firewire disabled in the syssteuerung.
