New Forum: Attachment Function

We have just released a new feature for you: From now on you can add your contributions s.Eure attachments. To show the other example, a comic image errors from your camcorder recordings, you will need the Picture no longer be put online somewhere and then link from the post, but it can directly contribute s.euren attach. The same is true for example for project files and manuals in PDF format.

Only registered users can add attachments (input text box beneath the post) and see them. On this Page
IMPORTANT: Please use this function only for informative annexes! Useless images or files are deleted mercilessly (a la my house, my dog, I-drive to the ski, etc.), illegal or copyright infringing content, of course, even more so. Please directs us out if you find such Attatchments in contributions so we can remove them immediately!

JUST AS IMPORTANT: We assume no responsibility for the contents of the attachments, or any damages that may arise from the download of the Attachment.

Hello,

this is a class function! On the one hand, it encourages the users to register themselves to get this forum to enjoy the full functionality. On the other hand larger images will no longer widening relentlessly the whole thread, so that Articles will no longer have to scroll left to right.

As far as I understand the documentation, the quota applies only to newly registered users ...

But this is relative. Before the attachment feature is that is offered, I was already registered! My question has still not answered;)

I've entered a new Quotas: Now everyone has 50 MB of space, which is expected for the time being wealthy - everyone can look in his profile, how many MB are still available.

I have found nothing. Or, it appears there until after you have left behind for the first time an Attach?

Ahh, I see now, we can not look in his profile settings, but the public in the profile view.

've Seen through all the settings again and found nothing which would so vebieten to upload later ... I do not even upload a few tests ...

Ok, the tests have revealed that: the little red cross (Internet Explorer) is because the browser can the Tif preview image can not show (using Firefox, the QuickTime plug-ins, which has not worked for me but synonymous) -- And without graphics is no downloadable link to the original image. Mark - I therefore propose Wrde tifs instead use high-resolution JPGs.
