My problem is this:
My PC freezes frequently when working with Premiere, VirtualDub, or even with Moviemaker On. It is not the program that will hang, but the entire PC is no longer Wank. The error occurs mainly when I use a clip in the timeline, drag, or move it there. (Depending on the app it happens all the 2-15min)
Formatting has not resolved the problem.
My PC is no longer the allerjüngste, but should be a bit simple DV editing so it's possible ...
P4/2.8Ghz.HT, 1024MB RAM, AsusRadeon9600SE 128mb, 120GB HD (rather full)
Is there a connection between these video editing software, which unlike other software could trigger this error? Or would it even möglichm that there is a Harwarefehler is?

Remote are always happy guesswork. But, on the one hand create space on your disks. Ideally, you reservierst for video applications, a separate panel or at least one partition (in hindsight of course difficult now). Ensure that your system enough "power" has. Much of RAM never hurts. Then makes me somewhat aback:

In this context, I would look at the temperatures on the graphics card or chip on the CPU of interest.

I had a few crashes when rendering DVD. After heruntertakten the computer while the calculator was a little slower, but there were no more crashes. The experiment makes so little effort.

Is i.Pr. fully. Gibts on the plate because there enough space for the swap file (should be twice the size of memory and FESTER value set) and preview the files? Gruss ph

So:
- On the HD partition are at least 5 GB of space. That should be really rich. Document times but today 20-30GB outsource and look what happens.
- A high CPU temperature do I, because I have the fan in the BIOS is configured so that he p.60 degree, the speed up. That I would have noticed.
