First of prehistory to:
Sharp vlz300 defect (drive); posted 5 days before the end of warranty, after 9 weeks waiting to get a credit on the purchase price. I'm terribly happy.
But that has nothing to do with the topic, I just wanted to get rid of.
Now I am buying before the question of which Cam?
The price should then move around ¬ 500.
Use the Cam eigendlich only for skiing and larger parties.
The videos are then editing. And distributed as a worthwhile reminder.
Are in the shortlist, the Panasonic NV-GS180 or the 280 arrived.
The price difference is already huge.
Is the Leica Dicomar and the OIS worth the additional cost?
And there are other differences?
Since I need the Cam next time until January, I will wait with the purchase and still hope that what s.price does.
Can one of you to say something about the price? Is an upcoming trade show or similar, which lowers the Prices?
A salesman told me that the 280 is no longer made and I should not wait too long, right?
One other thing:
Is there a platform where I can set edited video, so I can get other opinions and suggestions.

The above differences of 180s of you have already betrachtungswürdig to 280s, but not required. If you want to spend 500 euro, the 180s should be the right choice.

synonymous mustard I'll give my views about this because I read even for several days by all test reports.
As for the lens, I just say once that in my eyes is more of a dummy package. Leica products Who knows, who knows what they cost. And there is likely to be soon realize that you can get for the paltry price difference between the 180 and the 280 NO real Leica lens guarantees.
On www.camcorderinfo.com there are very good and detailed test reports on a number of cameras. If you briefly summarizes: In the optical imaging performance, there is in all of Panasonic 3CCD cameras, no significant visible and measurable differences. That means: All camcorders in this league - including the GS180 - produce an excellent picture, regardless of Leica lens or not.
OIS is better than ICE, which is probably true. I had both cameras in hand and found the OIS in the Comparison always something "softer". He performs miracles but not synonymous. Because I would even work predominantly with Tripod, to me, this difference is not quite the little extra and not worth my decision has been made, I will order me the day the GS180.

Leica and Panasonic to cooperate for a few years anyway. Possibly is inside in Panasonic lenses anyway a degree of Leica's expertise?
I do not know the exact backgrounds. I quote only the above-mentioned test, was apparently working with the very thorough and the notice regarding imaging performance, no significant differences could.
Google Groups there is a hint that the Panasonic "Leica optics" builds itself only checks and Leica. Other sources I have not found on the fly, but it sounds plausible:

Too bad that there is no comparison shots, because I would be very interested synonymous ... Like I said, I have indeed worked in the past many times with different cameras and filmed videos, I'm at the moment but probably before the purchase of () GS180 and devour everything I can s.Tests to get appraisals, etc. :-)

I found the 280s to the displayed colors, contrast, etc. (in the totality of the picture) just better. The Verwacklungsthematik I have not compared directly, but leave me synonymous to the experience of various "Vorkäufer. Just synonymous, the test reports of many different magazines, forums, etc. have reconfirmed these impressions. And (as you said) I found 100euro difference investierenswert.

Good luck in making the right choice :-) If only it were already so far :-) You probably know even the eternal perplexity when browsing for hours and the constant round and Hergerissensein between "I must have so much quality" and "is this really necessary?". At the end of the Internet is probably more of a users' forum too big, in fact this forum would have once earned a fat commission of Panasonic :-)
