I too have the Pana.500.
The insertion of recording can be as far as I know is not off, it bothers me not synonymous.
It is so synonymous with the Stop Recording the insertion (pause)

this is for me a long time ago with the 500th GS ..

Perhaps the menu at times check the LCD functions, which made me never so disturbed. I know it should not be synonymous again through the functions. On the page of the GS 500 is "only" brightening the LCD Power LCD, but no limit switching of the data.
