I own a Canon HV20 and I try a little Magix Video Deluxe 2007 to incorporate.
I have my film in HDV 16: 9.
When I do the film now in Magix reinlade, the synonymous as 1440:1080 16:9 detected. The problem is that if I now take the film as a 1440 x 1080 16:9 export, no preference in what format and then I film with Windows Media Player, there is a 4:3 picture and no 16:9.
A 16:9 picture I just get, if I put my video with a Resolutionvon 1920x1080 export, but I think that must not be.
Can I perhaps someone just say what I do wrong? There must be a possibility but this is all about.

Hi, So purely arithmetically 1440:1080 is a 4:3 format. But I have read somewhere that can still be 16:9 and davob although it depends on whether the pixels in the film a quadratic form.
