since a few days makes the USB port s.meinem Mucke Thinkpad T40 and I do not understand why. Following: For years, I am using the USB connection without any problems. Since about 3 weeks, but often - sometimes directly at the insertion of the USB device, sometimes until sometime during the Areit - the reference in the Taskleite that the connected device (the same as in the past mind you) a "higher performance" could if it s.einen "high-speed USB 2.0" port would be (s.meinem but the laptop is a USB 2.0 port, right?). In parallel with this switch, the USB device then. As I said this happens only sometimes and not always synonymous, right at the beginning. It does not help then reboot and nix. Sometimes it goes after a few hours, sometimes for days not. A regularity, I have not noticed. It would be nice if someone in the forum could help. Merci

"USB 2.0" alone says nothing about the pace of: It can be slower than its USB 1.0. Only USB 2.0 High-Speed "is definitely faster. But if your laptop so far everything is working, then it is likely that the problem actually is not.

Friend zerschoss 3 weeks USB synonymous in his laptop, so we referred to several things but finds the USB port on was totally out (Boards injury).
Tests have the following
System - Device Manager - USB connections - all removed --
New Start making then all the USB ports again found and installed.

That would be but a Undemanding virus programmers, just a bit on the USB port and herumzuppelt otherwise not noticeable ...
4 months ago, the USB ports on my ThinkPad X40 adopted - probably Überspannnungschaden by external drive - exchange board: 1100 ¬. Were it but a new ThinkPad. The sometimes zickt Network. Synonymous just have the interface in the device manager erased and rebooted. All well again.

Meanwhile, the hick-hack, however, next - just like before. sometimes go, sometimes not. the device that I use is a Cinergy Hybrid T USB XS to watch tv. USB viruses over the past months / years by the increased use of MP3 / Memory Sticks widespread. The write sollcher "virus" is more than "access" to be considered - most of resourceful foxes in schools and universities written / used - Fame is less the motivation goal.
