I wanted for a few scenes bluebox Psychedelic material (Farbkreisel colorful, repetitive patterns, as in the scenes of the series "The Wild Seventies" is to be seen) as a background. I have now the visualization of winamp recorded by screen capture. The problem is that it is quite pixilated effect. Therefore, my two questions:
1. Do you know where to source appropriate material gets her or 2. Rather, it is even better to sort by or by Expressions Effect in After Effects make yourself.
What are your experiences there?

TommyB has already given practical tips. I would still make sure that for the duration of the recording screen Resolutionso far as possible to your target format, which is where it should be HD, 1920 x 1080 (since the GPU, however, groan), for PAL 4:3 800 x 600 . If it's done, make synonymous the refresh rate to 50 Hertz.
And then I would just different plug-ins for WinAmp to try and control synonymous with the experiment. There's an overview
