Hello, soon I will be in our lab with the SQN3 work, plus I have a question. I hope someone knows about it.
As far as I understood, you can switch between each of the 3 line or mic input channels, plus're on the bottom of the synonymous switch for each channel separately. Now there are 4 XLR sockets. CH1, CH2, Ch3 and L.
Can I connect the line signal only s.der L jack or the L stands for what? Or come s.CH1-CH 3 each optionally the mic cable or a cable line with signal? But then what is the liner with the L?

ch1-3 you can freely on each mic / line select by the back switch ... And l think is suitable only for line signals ... I am not sure.

Ch 1-3 can provide you with mic or line signal, and then have to adjust to the lower level which is applied, so there is no distortion. The XLR jack is designed only for L line signals and can not be changed. Since you have only level controls for 1-3, I recommend you handle all of these three channels.
