| Questions about the response curve
Question of kameramaennchen: März 2007
Hello everybody I have a few questions on the response curve of the NV-GS500: 1. What kind of a response curve, the GS500? 2. Can I use another synonymous response curve in the Cam upload (for example, a film designed for)? 3. If so where can I get to her and how can I upload?

Reply Bernd E.:
4. What do you do in this context "response curve"?

Reply robbie:
I think the gamma curves ...

As you know all the camcorder to start with an image sensor. The reads the current voltage and transforms it into a number between this figure and the tension there is a relationship and this is called a response curve.
Reply robbie:
Aha .. you never learn!
Na, but I bet times that this ratio voltage / current in a microcontroller IC nem or processed, and you only on the board can respond, but not about the software ... Because the software works even a higher level ... only with the signals, which are already digital ...

Meanwhile, I am aware that is why I've asked whether it would be there with the software, so to speak, you can dig a little deeper.

I do not think so, because the calculation variables are fixed to the IC module burned. And this should be 1st send a reset, and 2 the new logic gate jungle ... and for this you need to expand it, etc. .. Anyway the question is what such an action for a benefit. Because this signal if you then raise or diminish the software that controls a plane then as the Aperture to ... The only thing you'll achieve so that is probably a degradation of image quality.
But if you say WHY you want to do the whole, perhaps you can then yes someone better help ...
Schöne Grüße, Robbie
