The DV input on the Canon is no longer necessary, because I edited the film auchauf can now burn DVD. What do you think? Thank you for your input!

Because of the prices of DV camcorders, I assume that a new purchase is the wiser option. However, I would not buy the cheapest and certainly not on DV - In losing, a burned DVD is not an adequate substitute for a video played out.

That's what I see as synonymous. I file my movies on DVD's rather synonymous, because I can manage it, and then faster wiederberarbeiten.
Since 1stündige MiniDVKassette but about 13GB "eats" I have to include a stop at hour 3 DVD's with. But if Blue-Ray 30GB comes with two hours I'll be able pure MiniDV quality show with around 26 GB.
So, better archiving with Blue-Ray will come, for sure
