| Something like a setting level -> Level
Question of Kobold: Januar 2009
Hello,
There is something similar as a setting level (Ps, Ae) in Final Cut? So a clip, which clips to any underlying application.
I want my finished movie to assign, which applies everywhere and did not feel like 4000 clips individually adjust. And what would be then if I want to change a value? In 4000 all nachmals inside - that must go ... but simple
Thank you ever ...

Hi
Although no possessions and no Mac FC
But for most editing programs, you put the desired effect or simply the head of the track on which the act should FC should be in such a way is synonymous

If not all the clips in the sequence should have, I have no right: First clip copy (apple + c) and in the next clip with the filter attributes Alt + v paste. Or (while holding down the Apple key) all the clips in the timeline (not in the browser!) In a row and select the (s.einem Beispielclip already set) from the viewer on a jointly selected clips drag.
If the entire sequence is covered, you can apple + N with a new sequence in the browser conjure them in "Sequence 1 plus rename by double-clicking a new timeline to open the Sequence 1 and then move into it. Now it is a clip to which you apply. This corresponds s.ehesten an "Adjustment Layer".
Feel angepisst not, but a sequence with 4000 clips is like a plate with a hundred meters long spaghetti Napoli. A mess.

Thank you Axel for the detailed description.
Only I have a problem with: When I put the clip on one (in the new sequence zb. "Sequence 1-plus) had applied, he shows through the full length effect, but only with the default settings. How do I get the whole clip in the viewer to adjust the filter settings? Double-click, as usual, open the timeline and not the properties in the viewer.
ps. there are no clips 4000 - only about 200, and the synonymous just because a weird electro-musikvideo is:)

That's true, it is with a timeline within a timeline for a> nesting (Manual), and which is lifted by double-clicking. You could just drag & drop to load the viewer.
But you are not properly read what I wrote above: You better fits to the clip in sequence 1. In sequence 2 (= 1 plus) you just pull the already adapted to the one-clip timeline. You can custom synonymous from the viewer's browser, first in drag (is only for the current Project be used) or save as a favorite (I think Alt + F, please check again in the Manual, shall be synonymous for future projects).
A tip for this kind of nesting: It is not really useful, a sequence for a nest to. You should get better with the double arrows on the toolbar all the clips in all tracks and select the one of the clips (ie at all) prefer.
This has the following reason: nesting makes the project sometime lahmarschig. Not yet at 200 clips in a sequence, but it could be a bad habit, and with a complex film, you can be a nasty surprise, especially if you do not look at what kind of clip you have . You will be noticed that the new timeline - A Clip - synonymous a new time code, etc., etc., even to Final Cut Pro, the clips (especially when indifferent designation) is not properly assign a risk to which the synonymous Manual expressly indicates.
Nesting real costs, and real-time synonymous if not all solve problems, keep them before you, too early to render. What you as a result of a manipulation of the video in real time, see, is a recent recalculation, you will not be confused with the end result can. You think if you render it in between, you'll get more time, but that's not true, because any further effect, or not to build the render files, but back at the footage on, and someday will be the timeline red. You useless shits you with the hard drive to render files that are not usable. Therefore: If possible never zwischenrendern. Even with "red" is living the single assessment (Play Head position) is sufficient for corrections usually last from. The best so synonymous automatic Hintergrundrendern off.
The best workflow is to each, a smaller synonymous Project, in small units, just individual sequences, edit, rough at the beginning. This creates Overview and prevents accidental moving to clips of the whole "future" changes.
Are all the clips in the provisional order on the sequences distributed, create a master sequence, which represents the whole film and in the order you after all sub-sequences draw (This should be> "Snapping" enabled). You never editing the master sequence, but only the individual clips in the short sequences, all changes are in the master sequence auto updated.
