Ok, I am embarrassed but I have absolute beginners.
But how can we do it as a Mac user, the movies on the memory card on the Mac to pull and with iMovie HD to edit?
In the help of iMovie, it is stated that the camcorder must be connected with Firewire. But this connection, I have not found (maybe I'm blind synonymous). Or you can firewire synonymous with the USB port to connect the camcorder.
I would like my films but only on the Mac store and later edit with iMovie. :-)
For helpful contributions, I would be very grateful. Maybe someone has experience in the field.
Thank you very much Ruddy1972

Your camera has NO Firewire port!
Try the camera via USB s.den Mac (Which?) Adapter and then using iMovie to capture.

Hello Isekram,
Thanks for the answer. I own a Macbook MB403. Have the camera yesterday s.mein Macbook connected. And this was already synonymous recognized.
In iMovie, I have found nothing, however, with whom I Films on the Camera "Capture" can be. Since there were only the words with the Firewire.
How does it work to "capture"?
Many greetings Ruddy1972

I am sure that the procedure for capturing in iMovie to the Help section. Lies mal ein Dich da. To next to work with iMovie, you should have read a little bit ;-)
Otherwise, look at google after iMovie tutorial. Because you should find plenty of tips.

Capturing with iMovie:
Camera connected, slide the left bottom to Kamerasysmol slide Import button in the picture window, now, the current film in the window display and simultaneously to the disk.
Antwort von Ruddy1972:
Thank you.
As far as I was even yesterday. The only problem is that iMovie only the iSight camera showed. Synonymous and I think that there is no import button appears. Did I just have a tutorial video, where the same approach has been described (but synonymous here with the Firewire).
But I try it again tonight.

Without iMovie'08, you will probably know nothing or not much with your AVCHD footage can begin!
The'09er version is probably already in the starting blocks are. If you make an upgrade would only want the latest version of the question.
Antwort von Ruddy1972:
Hello RickyMartini,
Arrghh. This is always better. :-( So it is now waiting for iMovie'09.
A true test of patience for someone like me, always wants to try everything yet.
Thanks for the info.

iLife'09 is not yet, so you probably need to buy'08er version, what with the videos to be able to start.
