| Time lapse (24h)
Question of Thomson: Mai 2006
Hi
I would like to get in as the sky for 2 days and then everything might shrink to 5minutes. Can you turn on some cameras, for example, that for example instead of 25/30 pictures per second every 2 Sekundne 1 Picture is made and is stored so that, for example ranging 1h MiniDv. If so ... would be with the PANASONIC NV-GS300/MVX4i or SonyDCR-HC96E possible?
Or do I have to proceed any anderst?
I'm grateful for any advice

Hello,
sowas s.Besten do you do with) a camera (SLR. Offer here is mainly the cameras of Canon: Canon delivers himself with a piece of software, with which you can decide yourself how many minutes a picture of all is done and if that's not enough, there's synonymous of third-party software, which even the exposure can automaitsch control. As I said this is apparently with Canon cams s.Besten and the images are transferred directly to the computer. If your memory card is large enough, you can save the internal synonymous, of course - many of the cameras, so synonymous have installed a timer function.
With 'ne Videocam that although would undoubtedly synonymous, but workable seems to me rather a DSLR.

Without knowing any of the cams to (JAN, ACER where are you ?)... Many Consumercams have interval recording function .. Sonywürde when I say 99% sure that it has one.
The SLR version certainly makes beautiful images in higher Resolutionund It could be synonymous zeitraffer the starry sky, BUT is more feasible, this variant is not good.

Ok, then I correct my statement: it is perhaps not practical (because you just need a computer), but in any case preferable to a high Videocam.
Consider, for example only times these recordings here: http://599productions.com/TimelapseLarge.html - which are been made with a Canon 20d and the looks but damn good.

Sorry, no Panasonic / Canon has such a function. HC96 is not synonymous interval recording. But you could generally to a notebook or a PC (on a hard drive) and your Videoaufzeichnen easiest ways then, for example with Pinnacle Studio ...
Ciao;).

Yes dan easiest ways you can clear it, but it can then be synonymous not hold more than 1 h: (Pinnacle Studio, it would not go anyway. Since I can only think easiest ways to 5x (Diest me there has been synonymous disturbed. ... Ne So I think we already have to do with a video camera, because otherwise the data would be too big and I want it fairly fluently. To bring one days on a MniDV too would it only instead of 25-30 frames / s to save. 1 Picture / s to save. Afterwards, still with a program and easiest ways is good ... Now is the question of whether the halt could be a Videocam ...

Hello,
You could connect your camcorder via firewire with the PC and then capture the live signal with Sclive. Here you can choose to have only every n-th picture is to be included, which ultimately leads to a Time Lapse.
I seem to remember that this solution has been proposed once before ... moment, it was equal ...

There are n making program called Giotto, so you can something. This takes into definable intervals frames.
