perhaps the question for me here are some kill, I will nonetheless make because I want to know what professionals say.
I will shortly present a theatrical performance to shoot and I've made the whole with two cameras to make. I have - as in the past been used with success - to bring a laptop and directly via firewire into the laptop to go (Uninterruptible shots are my goal), while I, as a back-up onto synonymous miniDV-tape recording.
However, I work for the first time with two cameras are stationary, and wonder whether it is recommended, two cameras with a laptop to capture (the laptop is more powerful and creates a loose Camera) - or whether it is better to a second (but less powerful ) to provide laptop.
As the whole is redundant anyway, are not world drops while moving but not desirable, because I insist on the redundant rail remain.
If so maybe someone experience? Thanks in advance!

Whether there are any fundamental problems, I can not answer. But if the mechanical conditions are met, namely: the portable computer has two Firewire ports - why do not you try simply advance?

We recommend it is not, but at least attempts to have my PC (not laptops, but PCs with multiple hard disks) works. The biggest sticking points was to capture tools to find themselves not block each other.
