(sorry for my bad description but I am in the area as well as from garnicht). The program with which I now record the video will always tell me it gets no video. I know just why this is ncih. A scart cable is available for the various "directions" different Connections / Pins s.Scartstecker.
I guess now:
Your VCR has a scart connection, the grabber has RCA Connections. You have a Scart to RCA adapter purchased.
These are available only in versions in / Input (For example, cameras, VCR or Television s.den adapter), Out / output only, or switchable complete with cables for both signal directions (In / Out).
In your case, the signal from the recorder, you should have out-variant, which variant switchable on or out while using the adapter with all the right cables to use ;-).
