how do I save and copy a CD in WMP?

Hello Maren,
theoretically, you can do that directly in Windows Media Player it. In the latest release version you have on "Music of medium copy" button. However, WMP only supports its own WMA format, which is much popular MP3 only lousy. Also, the WMP problems data error on the CD to recognize.
I advise you therefore, a free program EAC (http://www.exactaudiocopy.de) to use, which is much more reliable CDs can capture. In order to MP3s so you need to create, however, the LAME encoder installed (http://www.free-codecs.com/download/Lame_Encoder.htm) and configure the program correctly (but should not be that hard, probiers a try).
The so-created files, you can normally play in WMP.
