Do not be selling the advertising blah stupid: Any MiniDV tape can be used in an HDV camera. It does not have to supposedly "HD-capable."

As I said, is basically any MiniDV tape in any HDV camera to use, no preference of which Manufacturer. Canon is, however, is precisely the reputation of ruining some sensitive drives, so that tapes that work fine elsewhere, lead to a Canon times more likely to drop-outs and other unpleasant results. The search function can be found in this forum certainly some information about this often-discussed issue, but as far as I remember, it seems that most filmmakers with Canon Panasonic tapes very good experience to have made. How does the Sony tape acts comes to the test.

Manufacturers use the different carrier, you should wherever possible retain the same brand to produce no abrasion mishmash. Myself have always had the best experience with Panasonic tapes s.meinen Canons. For the XHA1s I used Panasonic AY-HDVM63MQ when you order larger contingents, which are not much more expensive than DV tapes.

And no problems with it, not as synonymous with tiny example dropouts?
I use with my XH-A1 (without the "s") and the HV-20 so far only "Panasonic DVC 3CCD Professional", more precisely, "AY-DVM60YE3.
I mean that they are with the HV-20 tolerated slightly better regarding dropouts. This would suggest (in the Panasoniclager) for the XH-A1 might look for an alternative. But as has been said here, if possible no mishmash.
I also capture the XH-A1-tapes only with the HV-20, because of the Firewire issue.
What tapes used etrunk, referencing [pronounced eeh-referencing ;-)] again for his XH-A1?
