Question of Jamel: Juli 2010
Dear friends,
I'm going to digitize old pictures of VHS cassettes. Until now everything worked fine. Only two of my tapes with Home Videos (Date N / A: with any camera at the time) and transferred obviously to no-name VH cassette I now have the problem that (perhaps due to prolonged storage and / or poor quality of the tapes) when playing continuously at back pictures white stripes run in the Picture, most of the bottom up, or they appear in the center and dim again. This is done so every few seconds. Well those are six hours insegsamt footage and quite annoying. In my other VHS tapes will not happen ... are apparently synonymous better tapes.
Has anyone of you a tip and Council whether and how these strips wegbekommt after digitization?
Or should I do something in advance? But what? I guess so, that the tapes are damaged.
Maybe this will help the info: Have a Daewoo VCR VHS, PAL and NTSC auto detect and can play. Video capture with Elgato to Mac (but as I said, the problem starts even before the capturing)
If at any Rat and notice very grateful, is indeed synonymous micht valuable material for six hours on this film.
Thank you in advance!

Retrospectively is difficult.
If the image error ALWAYS s.den same posts? If so, then there is the defect s.tape. If not, then it's probably s.VHS recorder.
In both cases, I would grow the unit from a different company and there trying to see it.
