Infoseite // XH-A1s question about Instant Auto Focus

Frage von Auf Achse:

Keep in touch!

I have a question about AF when I interview tapes. I've noticed many times that the interviewet person is blurred as they are no longer located in the approximate center of the picture, or if I the heads of two people have the same Picture. Then, "I run the sharpness of it," and the camera is on the background sharp. Has the with the infrared-AF I do that scharfstellt the infrared diode between or next to the desired objects over? Should I in interviews (or in general) I turn off the AF?
Actually, I would (usually) do not give up auto focus and manual focus only with work, since I mainly movies concerts. There is not just the time for manual focus settings, I have to be as flexible as possible. Apart from that is a clean manual focus adjustment, despite peaking and black with the display of the XH A1 rather problematic.
What are your experiences, what can I improve that I no longer run away without noticing it, the sharpness?

Thanks and regards,

Makes sense, I'll try! In my own perceptions and experience with the I AF is probably only intended for quick and accurate focusing. When I was still with smaller consumer cameras (I filmed without AF) have, I have run away from this edge in interview situations actually never had! Hence my suspicion that the AF because I could be to blame.
Does anyone still experiences and tips with / without AF or I, especially for interview situations?

Test times with the normal AF or Manual and Push-AF.
The auto focus is always on the center sharp, with 2 heads left and right of the picture, therefore, logically, to the background in the middle. The camera does not know what is the desired object.
So in the press of the described situation: Manual focus, one of the two heads in the middle, push-AF and release again, then rotate the desired image, then press start button.

The Instant AF measured with the additional sensor is very fast and, therefore, nothing for interview situations where the distance to the object remains approximately constant.

Servus Meggs!

: I'll first try with a normal AF. I really can hardly refrain entirely from the AF because: many of my interviews are in the field of motor sport and it happens very often before that I want to show the interviewee during the interview s.seinem car equals / is precisely what he says. And then change the synonymous distances equal to a few feet! Under these circumstances, the AF is very very important for me! I CAN under these conditions does not rotate continuously s.Rädchen or between AF and manual focus and switch attention! I do not work under studio conditions, but under very spontaneous and "uncertain" conditions. I often have no idea what will the next moment!
If there is a focus for the automatic then it should help me in this case the work. If I then again oä landscapes, waterfalls. Then movies I've synonymous time and joy to take care of the Focus itself.
I would come synonymous nor the idea of the distance indicator on the display when manual focus zuzuschalten synonymous with AF. Since I could fact check at any time if I run away the sharpness. One can stand in the custom display settings to display them permanently. Unfortunately, however, applies only to manual focus in AF, there is no meter display (except for push-AF).

Thanks for the tips, it is very important to me to have the confirmation that the I. AF is not suitable for my interviews.
