I unfortunately had to notice that the sound of my recording is poor. It was an event on the tape with the internal mic of the camera XH A1 recorded. On average it was found that the entire signal was not overridden, as is typical when clipping knows where the upper peaks missing, but the maximum control of the audio signal is at -6 dB, but the bass were not properly recorded, and so as if they were overridden. Camera settings of the audio was set to Normal.
Is my mic broken or what may be the reason? When the recording was -12 dB attenuation is not switched on. In the last recording I made this 12 dB attenuation switch and found that the signal is correctly recorded, but I find the tone a bit dull.
Also, it would be important to know whether the stream with overdriven bass somehow can repair, as I said it is no ordinary clipping, because the signal is entirely within the band was recorded, but the bass sound is overdriven.
For useful tips for post of my problem, I would be very grateful.
Greetings and a nice WE Alex
PS: Have other Canon XH A1 users also noted these symptoms?

If there is no special problem of the A1, but normal. Mikros hold only a certain sound, if it is higher the overdriven sound. With an external Micro, particularly for high sound designed to get you into the handle. The 12 db attenuation should not normally impact on the sound. Maybe it was the sound on this recording really dull. Whether in the post or what to save, it is hard to say. Rather not. You can do it so with an audio editor and various equalizer settings try.

Megger has already said everything you can say about this.
If you have luck, you can the frequency noise rausdrehen (EQ), but there is always something s.Sound anything suffer more than most anything.
Very roughly, I would try with a low-cut as far as the bass to "kill" until it anhörbar, but is estimated to have you then no longer in the bass sound.
As you turn it synonymous - broken is broken, I'm sorry.
