Synonymous, I would assume that the XM2 of XL1 quality is superior, simply because of the development. In automatic mode, it is certainly the case, has never been automatic because the strength of the XL1.
Quite apart from that I would anyway prefer the XM2, because they are smaller, lighter and practical in all respects to be established.
